The film industry in Kenya has been identified as a key growth industry with potential to spur economic growth through tourist attraction, investment and employment creation; this is so because of the country's great scenic physical and environmental features, which makes it an ideal location for film making; this therefore triggered the inception of the Kenya Film Commission.

Kenya Film Commission (KFC) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Information & Communication established vide Legal Notice No. 10 of 2005. The Commission, whose vision is to be the reputed film partner of choice, is mandated to promote Kenya as a centre of excellence in film production. KFC works closely with film producers, government agencies, private organizations, professional bodies and associations in the film industry, other film commissions and other stakeholders in the film industry. KFC is looking for a result oriented person for the position of Temporary Human Resource Assistant
Position: Human Resource Assistant
Terms of service: Temporary
Job Summary:
Responsible for HR information management and assisting in the implementation of HR programs
Reporting:
The job holder reports to the Human Resources Officer
Duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintenance of Human Resources records
- Carrying out all Human Resources surveys and giving reports
- Responsible for undertaking TNA and implementation of KFC training and career development programs
- Assisting in Employee Relations through involvement and participation of employees in the Commission’s affairs.
- Responsible for HRIS data entry, retrieval and update
- Responsible for staff welfare management including Sacco, etc,
- Responsible for leave management and administration in consultation with the Heads of HR & Administration and other HODs
- Implementation of KFC HIV AIDS and drug abuse programs in conjunction with the officers in charge
- Ensure proper management of staff separation process
- Management of staff benefits scheme including medical, personal loan, car loan, etc.
- Any other duty as may be assigned by the Human Resources Officer
Minimum Job Requirements
- Higher diploma in Human Resources management
- 2 years experience in a similar position
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to analyze and solve problems
- Discretion when dealing with confidential information
- Proficiency in computer application packages
